The family of Lucille
Falcon Kinney wishes to announce her final release from this
life on Friday, March 14, 2003. Lucille was born in
Brooklyn, New York, in 1915 and graduated from Pratt Institute
with a degree in Advertising Design, with a Fashion Illustration
major. She earned a Master's degree in Art Education from
Syracuse University and SUNY (Cortland, Oneonta, and
Oswego). She was Art Director and Instructor at
Bainbridge-Guilford Central School for 29 years and spent her
retirement years as a free lance painter.
Marriage to Walter B. Kinney occurred
in 1936; the two surviving children and spouses are Eleanor and
Richard Montero, Ormond Beach, Florida: Walter B. Jr. and Judy
Kinney, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is predeceased by
her husband and a son, Stephen A. Kinney. There are five
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kinney lived a most satisfactory
life, residing in Bainbridge and on Afton Lake, traveling with
her husband to England, France Canada, and California.
They had a vacation home on Andros Island in the Bahamas, moving
eventually to Naples, Florida. Because of consuming ill
health, after the death of her husband, she resided in Ormond
Beach, Florida. The final two years of her life were marred by
the ravaging of Parkinson's Disease.
A Celebration of her Life will occur
this summer in Bainbridge, New York. Date and place to be
announced. She will be buried next to her husband at
Greenlawn Avenue Cemetery, which is close to where they spent
many happy years together.
